I've worked on this quite a bit (hours) and through all the various skis, bikes and assorted design elements, I sort of narrowed it down to these. I think where I'm stuck is on is this:
The shape/scale of the bike/kayak design elements seems to oppose the crossed skis. It's like they don't quite fit down in there...or at least not as I'd like them to.
So I tried different things...nothing really grabs me. The boot prints, I think, could be a little 'easter egg' dropped in somehwere, vs a free-standing part of the composition. I even thought about moving away from the circle design and going with a three-block design (shown below).
These are the only two versions that I'm willing to show you: -) Of the two, the bottom one, I think, shows sort of a forward motion among all elements, in a single direction.
