proof for ball cap
Okay - we ordered in the cap you selected and they're ready for embroidery. We have not done caps for the Prefab group yet, so we have to work out the particulars. Here is what we put together. I think it compliments the shirt nicely.
On the front is the classic LE/Bug design that we've been using on all cap projects. And then on the side, PREFAB. This placement is consistent with some other recent cap projects...specifying group on the side panel. I think they'll like them. Need a thumbs-up to proceed. vh

Pre-Fab ball cap
And here we are...better brand black hats are basically unavailable. The hat that we've found to be so popular with the LEE guys is showing ZERO inventory in any warehouse...all the way back to the manufacturer. Probably sitting on one of those ships off the west coast that can't come to port.
So, having said that, I went looking for a reasonable substitute. I found ONE option in the NE1020 (these are popular with the Sheriff's Dept). But it's NOT a snap back, it's a sized hat. Those are complicated when you're distributing them to the group because, well, sizes. We could do those, but you'll find distribution to be complicated. They are Sized S/M, M/L, L/XL
I DID find, however, two options.
One is a little expensive (Carhartt) and one is in the same ballpark as the at the Flex Fit that we've been doing.
First option is a Carhartt branded cap. Mesh Back (Great for summer). A solid choice and, given that we're only doing a few caps, the cost should be a nominal issue (These are about $7 more).

Second option is New Era brand. Super brand. MLB uses this brand. Price is same as Flex Fit (which is what we usually do).
LEE tends to not favor less-expensive (cheap) stuff, so initially I didn't even look to see what's available. But then I thought better of it and gave it a go. Nothing in all black in that category either.
So there you have it. And we'd be well-off the act quickly. Not sure who is in charge of this decision or whether or not their feedback is required or if you can just make the choice. Sometimes you have to make an 'executive decision' and move on :-)
Let me know. vh
