updated with names
Okay here's an updated comp shown with the names. Here is what we did: We selected a signature script that has a "printed vs script" sort of styling. Easy to read but a little elegant, as a monogram should be. First name, last initial. Located above the logo so it's first glance for staff when they need to identify whose blanket it is.
Kendal care center blanket project
There are numerous options for blankets, but inventories are absolutely dismal in a multitude of styles. Narrowing down to what I think I heard from you is that fuzzy/soft is preferred. So we'll eliminate cotton blanket options.
There is a fabric called Sweatshirt Fleece (which, as the name suggests, is sweatshirt material). I'm not considering that as an option because they are mostly available in school colors. No beige.
My first instinct is regular fleece (it's fuzzy, comes in a lots of weights and colors, the most affordable of these are somewhat less than desirable though). I also cannot seem to find anything available in beige.
As an aside, if you ever find yourself immersed in this same project again, I have a fleece with laser etched logo option that is simply fabulous. But we need more lead time for those.
So that brings us to Minky and Sherpa. I found three options that ARE available, two are beige, one is available in grey or brown (the beige is sold out).

BP31: This velvety soft blanket is a warm and welcome addition to your home.
