70-Year PATCH
I received this preliminary/virtual from the patch house today. There are a few things that I asked them fix (some things having to do with the actual stitching).
Reference the structure of the patch (floppy vs stiffy) I'm not sure how this feels and we can only know that for sure if/when we order an actual sample. I'm not sure but it looks as if they have used traditional embroidery backing (which is understandable) and that will for sure add a bit of structure. You HAVE to use backing on all embroidery. Contrary to what most folks think, the embroidery hangs onto the backing, not the fabric. That backing is actually called "stabilizer." Without it, the fabric would pucker and pull. But there are different weights of backing. So I'm still hammering thru this with Phil, my rep.
So even though we don't have an absolute final sample yet, things are progressing.
